how do we connect?

asks Sarah Lillian Burwash. She sent us this
charming drawing from Hamburg, Germany.

Dare I suggest mail-art?

You don't need wings to fly

Peter Dowker sent us this piece
collaged with a vintage French postcard.

He likes to "flip flop", so I'm
sending him the card shown below.

Black and White flowers?

Here is the postcard made by Chris in the UK.
Interesting question!

As Alice said: we would need to paint the roses red.

Why is running the oogley stowaway?

I'm glad Pierpaolo Limongelli didn't ask this question in Italian. I might have taken him seriously!

When Big Joan Sets Up?

This may be an obscure reference for some, but it's a Captain Beefheart song title. This card was sent from Italy by Maurizio Follin. You can see more of his art here.

An odd question

We received this postcard from Peter Dowker in Quebec. I believe the lady in the question is Cindy McMath from Victoria. You can see some of her BINGO cards here. I'm sure Cindy would love to trade cards with you.

Peter used the cool new embossed Braille stamp
that was just issued by Canada Post.

Is Disarmament Possible?

This striking postcard arrived from Clemente Padin of Uruguay. This question is on the mind of many folks all over the planet.

My work isn't usually so overtly political. This is the question I am sending back to Clemente. It's a laminated postcard made from real, vintage matchbox labels.

My Afterlife?

We received this silver disk which channels rainbows when it is moved from GOOD KARMA in Portland Oregon. My scanner can't really show the effect. I also show the back of the disk. This isn't posed as a question, but it's still pretty heavy.

This is the card I am sending in return.
It's a modified postcard from the Wallraf Richartx Museum in Germany. The painting is by Franz Gerhard von Kügelgen.

Shattered Illusions

Shattered Illusions of Ontario Canada asks the question: Should we judge other cultures by our standards?
What a timely and timeless question.

The postcard is a quilt of candy wrappers!

Traitor or liberator?

This one threw me for a bit since Mandy W didn't state who the man in the photograph was. I did figure it out and provide the answer below (in case you want to guess). Mandy is a member of sendsomething.

WHAT?

We received another card from Ed Buddz,
featuring his whimsical drawings.
